Ottawa County Senior Resources Offers Tax Prep Vouchers

for Eligible Seniors

Tax season is almost here and for the second year in a row, Ottawa County Senior Resources and the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners are teaming up with local tax preparers to offer tax prep vouchers to qualified county senior citizens age 60 and better.

The tax prep voucher program is currently underway and is first come, first serve with a limited number of vouchers available. Vouchers will cover up to $100 per return and are limited to one voucher per registered taxpayer senior citizen. Any additional preparation cost is the responsibility of the individual taxpayer. 

Eligibility for 2023 tax prep vouchers includes: 

  • reported income status 

  • proof of residence in Ottawa County

  • willingness to use selected tax preparers (listed below)

If you use OCTA for your transportation needs, Ottawa County Senior Resources along with the Ottawa County Transportation Agency (OCTA) will once again be able to provide FREE trips for eligible seniors in 2024. 
Registration forms are also available at all the county senior centers.

Ottawa County Senior Directory 

The Ottawa County Ttask force logoask Force on Aging published a focused resource guide in 2022 for seniors and their caregivers.  Thanks to the generous support of the Ottawa County Community Foundation, Ottawa County Job and Family Services, and local sponsors, the publication is designed to promote awareness about senior services available in our county.  

Ottawa County is home to the highest percentage of people over the age of 60 in the state of Ohio.  Given the aging population in the area, the Ottawa County Task Force on Aging looks to address aging-related issues to promote the safety and independence of seniors in our community.  Senior Directory located here.
