Transportation Improvement District Overview

The Ottawa County Transportation Improvement District (TID) was created by the Ottawa County Commissioners on April 16, 2020 as authorized by section 5540.02 (C) (2) of the Ohio Revised Code.

The Ottawa County Commissioners determined it was in the best interest of Ottawa County to create a TID pursuant to and in compliance with Chapter 5540 of the Ohio Revised Code. This district is authorized to finance, construct, reconstruct, improve, alter, maintain, and repair roads, highways, and other related infrastructure and facilities in addition to other powers as authorized in accordance with 5540.03 of the Ohio Revised Code.

TID Projects

The projects undertaken by a TID are considered to be essential and will contribute to the improvement of the prosperity, health, safety, and welfare of the people of Ottawa County. Creation of a TID can promote industry, commerce, and distribution in the County, region and the State.
